Lead for Diversity 2013
Delegates and staff listen attentively as they begin to learn to be peer mentors and leaders for diversity and inclusion.
Visual media, photos, magazine clippings all helped delegates view their world through a new lens.
Delegates were eager to share their experiences relevant to all dimensions of diversity and how they can help “be the change they want to see in the world.”
Strong bonds were created and friendships that will last a lifetime.
Morning sing, interactive exercises, group activities, discussion groups and FUN helped create strong bonds and what delegates consistently report: Life Changing Experiences.
Farewells are always hard. But delegates will see each other during the school year at Advanced Facilitation Training and regional youth forums. Some may even return to Lead for Diversity as counselors once they graduate high school!
