The American Conference on Diversity will pay tribute to several remarkable leaders during the 2017 Statewide Humanitarian Awards fundraiser on Thursday, April 6, at the spectacular Pleasantdale Château in West Orange, NJ. Please join our honorary co-chairs – music legend Dionne Warwick and Bekeley College Chair Kevin Luing – in recognizing the following honorees:

Randall L. Stephenson, Chairman & Chief Executive Officer, AT&T – Humanitarian of the Year Award

Cid Wilson, President & CEO, Hispanic Association on Corporate Responsibility (HACR) – Diversity & Inclusion Champion Award

RWJBarnabas Health – Healthcare Award, to be accepted by CEO Barry Ostrowsky

Nicholas Ferroni, Union High School Teacher – Diversity In Education Champion Award

Mildred Scott, Middlesex County Sheriff – Law Enforcement Award

Dr. Pamela Thomas, Principal, OIC of America’s, Career and Academic Development Institute – Bridge Builder Award

This premier annual event – which will be mc’d by Ericka Dunlap, Miss America 2004 and the first African-American woman to be crowned Miss Florida – is one way the nonprofit organization raises funds to provide leadership-development scholarships for students and schools throughout New Jersey and New York City to participate in the Lead for Diversity (LFD) Institute. The yearlong Institute offers students a life-changing experience that ultimately prepares them to enter into a diverse workforce, advocate for social justice, and become stronger leaders among their peers. For more than two decades, this program has prepared about 3,300 youth to deal with the current discourse our country faces with race relations and other issues of injustice.

To purchase your tickets, contact Gala Coordinator Barbara Getze at bgetze@aol.com or (800) 626-8097. Tickets must be purchased in advance. Advertising and sponsorship opportunities are also available to demonstrate your commitment to our diversity education mission and to recognize these outstanding honorees.
