The American Conference on Diversity (ACOD) Board of Advisors actively advocates for the mission statement of the organization: to create a positive, inclusive society by education and empowering our next generation of leaders; enhancing NJ workplaces; and helping to create inclusive communities. The American Conference on Diversity takes an historic mission and creates programs and activities relevant and vital to 21st-century life, a journey we can all take together. What We Do

The American Conference on Diversity Board Advisors are made up of individuals, corporations, and community organizers who are committed to advancing ACOD’s mission, supporting diversity and inclusion, and serving as key stakeholders and ambassadors for ACOD. Our volunteer members hold expertise in leadership development, community and capacity building, and fund development, and they serve schools, workplaces, and communities through community engagement, diversity education and training, advocacy, recognition, and fundraising.

As a Board Advisor you will have the opportunity to volunteer your services in a number of ways including, but not limited to, the following:

  • Serve as a speaker or panelist at events

  • Serve on our State Board Committees

  • Host meetings and events

  • Engage in donor cultivation

  • Lead annual fundraising activities

  • Champion diversity and inclusion issues in your area

  • Participate in our program and services
